Seems a short electical blackout always gets you thinking about wasted time, whether that be wasted time working or wasted time not working. A reminder of my first bit of advice for small business & home offices, grab one of these small UPS / battery backup units from APC. The Back-UPS ES 350 has a USB connection to power down your personal workstation/ notebook upon battery drain. Cheap insurance.
